Kate Jackson

Partner — Head of Family

Lowestoft, Norwich & Great Yarmouth

Kate is a Partner at Nicholsons, and her arrival marked the launch of the firm's new Family Law department. She brings two decades of experience, having started in the profession in 2004, and advises across the full range of family law — from divorce and separation to financial matters, arrangements for children, cohabitation, domestic abuse, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

Kate is a member of Resolution and holds its Specialist Accreditation in both private children law and domestic abuse, a recognition reserved for genuine expertise in two of the most sensitive areas of family work. As an experienced advocate, she can also represent clients in court when that becomes necessary.

Known for clear, practical advice and an approachable manner, Kate guides clients calmly through what is often a very difficult time. She welcomes the move towards resolving matters more collaboratively and keeping them out of court wherever possible, and can also offer the modern Separating Together approach, in which a single solicitor supports a couple jointly to reach a fair outcome without the cost and conflict of court.
