Robert Nicholson, who was the firm’s senior partner until May 2021, mainly advises business owner/managers on commercial matters and on tax and succession planning. He is described in Legal 500 as ‘experienced, knowledgeable and commercial’ in relation to commercial and corporate work and ‘extremely able and respected’ in relation to trust and tax work.
Following his retirement as a partner, Robert continues to work with the firm as a consultant.
Robert is sought after for the practical commercial advice that his many years of professional experience brings. In addition to being a lawyer Robert has held a number of appointments as a non-executive director including a period of over 20 years with Adnams plc.
Robert studied law at Birmingham University and qualified as a solicitor in 1972 while working for Taylor & Humbert in London, he joined Nicholsons and has worked in Lowestoft since 1973.
