Whilst our clients can always benefit from the support and experience which full representation by us brings to their case, we readily understand that some clients may be working to a more limited budget. If this is the case, our Pay-as-You-Go service may be a more appropriate approach.
How our Pay-as-You-Go service works:
- You remain responsible for communicating with your former partner or his or her solicitor and the Court; we are able to assist you in preparing draft letters during your meeting with us;
- You are responsible for the completion of forms and the drafting of documents but, once again, we can assist you in completing these in your meeting with us;
- The responsibility for complying with any directions made by the Court and attending Court Hearings rests with you although, in your meetings with us, we are able to provide you with guidance on Court procedure and how you can best prepare;
- If at any point you decide you would like us to represent you at a Hearing, we can provide you with a separate estimate which is dependent upon the venue for the Hearing and the nature of the case.
With this service, you can maintain close control of the costs as you only pay for the time which you spend in meeting with us and dealing with the precise aspects of your matter you need assistance with.
The time that you spend with us is charged at a fixed amount for every six minutes (ten units per hour). Clients only pay for face-to-face advice and payment is made at the end of the meeting so you know exactly what the costs are at all times, there are no hidden charges.
Pay-as-You-Go is not suitable for everyone. It is always open to you to switch to full representation and we shall provide you with a clear cost estimate and discuss payment terms before any work is initiated.
